GeoPin is an AI-powered geolocation service specifically for the Netherlands. Upload a street photo and receive accurate GPS coordinates. Our technology compares your photo against over 39 million indexed street images from all 12 provinces.

In urban areas, we achieve accuracy of less than 50 meters. In rural areas, this is less than 100 meters. Accuracy depends on factors such as image quality, available landmarks, and coverage density in the specific area.

Street photos with visible buildings, street signs, shops, or other recognizable elements work best. Daytime photos with good resolution produce the best results. Night photos and heavily zoomed photos are more challenging.

The average processing time is less than 30 seconds. This includes AI analysis of your photo, comparison with millions of indexed images, and geometric verification of the best candidates.

Uploaded images are temporarily stored for processing and quality assurance. This allows us to improve our service and prevent abuse. Images are automatically deleted after 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

Yes. We process as little personal data as possible and our infrastructure runs via Cloudflare with data processing within the EU/EEA where possible. We have a complete Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement available.

We index open-source street imagery from multiple sources, including Mapillary, KartaView, Panoramax, Mapilio, Amsterdam Open Panorama, Wikimedia Commons, Flickr (CC-licensed) and proprietary GeoPin recordings. All images are available under open licenses (CC-BY, CC-BY-SA or CC0).

We accept iDEAL, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and SEPA direct debit.

Yes. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled immediately. You retain access until the end of the paid period. Annual subscriptions run until the end of the paid year and will not be renewed.

Additional requests return a 402 status code. You can upgrade to a higher plan immediately to continue, or wait until the next month when your quota is restored.

Send a POST request to /api/geolocate with your image as multipart/form-data. Authenticate with an X-API-Key header. You receive GPS coordinates, confidence score, and alternative locations as JSON.

The API is a standard REST endpoint that works with any programming language. We provide code examples in Python, JavaScript, and cURL in our API documentation.

Store your API key securely and never share it publicly. Use environment variables in your code. You can rotate your key at any time via your account dashboard.
